MYSTORYBOOK UYGULAMASININ ALMANCANIN YABANCI DİL OLARAK ÖĞRETİMİNDEKİ YAZMA BECERİSİNE İLİŞKİN ÖĞRENCİ GÖRÜŞLERİ

Abstract
Bu araştırma ilgisini yabancı dil öğretiminde yazma becerisinin teknolojik bir uygulama aracı olan MyStorybook‘un uygulanabilirliği ve öğrenci bakış açısından değerlendirilmesine yöneltmiştir. Bu doğrultuda araştırmanın temel amacı MyStorybook sitesinin, öğrenci görüşlerine dayanarak yabancı dil olarak Almanca öğrenen öğrencilere ne derecede katkı sağladığını ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmanın soruları 1. MyStorybook sitesi ile ilgili katılımcıların görüşleri nelerdir? 2. MyStorybook sitesi katılımcıların yazma becerisine katkı sağlamakta mıdır? ve 3. Ders içerisinde sunulan e- desteğin daha iyi olması için önerileriniz nelerdir? şeklinde üç başlık altında toplanmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemini bir devlet üniversitesinin hazırlık B1 sınıfında olan, 2 kız 4 erkek olmak üzere toplam 6 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Uygulamanın sonunda yine öğrencilerden yarı açık uçlu sorularla genel değerlendirme yapmaları istenmiş ve kayıtlar çeviri yazıya dönüştürülmüştür. Bu çalışma nitel bir yapıya sahip olup, veri toplama teknikleri olarak öğrenci günlüklerinden ve görüşmelerden yararlanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde tematik analiz yöntemi kullanılmış olup, bu yöntemde veriler önce çeviri yazıya dönüştürülüp, ardından çeviri yazıda yer alan bulgular kodlara göre ayrıştırılarak kategorilendirilmiş ve bu kategorilerden alt ve ana temalar türetilmiş, sonrasında ise yeniden yapılandırma işlemi uygulanmıştır. Temalar MyStorybook’un öğrencilere yazma becerilerinde sağladığı gelişmeler, karşılaşılan sorunlar ve uygulamaya dair öneriler başlıkları altında toplanmıştır. Araştırmanın soruları ise MyStorybook sitesinin uygulanabilirliği, öğrenci açısından yararları ve uygulamada karşılaşılan sorunları üzerine oluşturulmuştur. Öğrenci görüşleri ele alınarak teknolojinin ders içerisinde kullanımının, yabancı dil olarak Almanca öğrenen öğrenciler tarafından olumlu değerlendirildiği ve sadece yükseköğrenimde değil, aynı zamanda eğitim öğretim basamaklarının tümünde uygulanabilir olduğu görüşüne varılmıştır.

Abstract
This research focused on the applicability of MyStorybook, a technological application tool for teaching writing skills in foreign language instruction, and evaluated it from the students' perspective. In this regard, the primary aim of the study is from the view of the students to assess the extent to which the MyStorybook application contributes to students' learning of German as a foreign language. The research questions are as follows: 1. What are the participants' opinions regarding the MyStorybook application? 2. Does the MyStorybook application enhance the writing skills of the participants? 3. What suggestions do you have for improving the e-support provided in the course? The study sample comprises six students, including two girls and four boys, who are enrolled in the preparatory class of a state university and are at a B1 level. At the conclusion of the application, students were asked to provide a general assessment through semi-open-ended questions, and their responses were transcribed. This study follows a qualitative structure, utilizing student diaries and interviews as data collection techniques. The thematic analysis method was employed to analyze the data, wherein the data were first transcribed, findings categorized based on codes, sub and main themes derived from these codes, and then followed by restructuring. The themes are grouped under the categories of enhancements that MyStorybook provides to students in their writing skills, problems encountered, and suggestions for implementation. The research questions based on the practicality of the MyStorybook site, its advantages for students, and the challenges encountered. Taking into account the students' feedback, it can be concluded that the integration of technology into the course received positive evaluations from students learning German as a foreign language. This approach was found to be applicable not only in higher education but also across all levels of education.
