Abstract
Eğitim, bireyin içinde bulunduğu dünyaya daha düzenli ve sistemli bir şekilde uyum kurmasını sağlar. Bu uyumun aktarıcıları ise hiç şüphesiz öğretmenlerdir. İşte bu yüzden eğitimin ve öğretimin taşıyıcıları olan öğretmenlerin donanımlı olmaları gerekmektedir. Bu bağlamda öğretmen eğitiminde standartlar belirlemenin öğretmen yetiştiren kurumların kalite ve verimliliklerinin artırılmasına, toplumsal gelişim ve değişimi sağlayacak öğretmenlerin yetiştirilmesi için çeşitli yöntem ve teknikler kullanılmalıdır. Bu yöntemlerden biri de öğretmenin çocuğun dünyasına girmesine vesile olan çocuk tiyatrosudur. Çalışmada çocuk tiyatrosunun öğretmen eğitimindeki yeri hakkında bilgi toplamak amaçlanmıştır. Bu bağlamda araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemi ve anlatı araştırması deseni kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonunda çocuk tiyatrosunda rol almanın empati yeteneğini geliştirdiği, toplumsal sorunlara karşı duyarlılık kazandırdığı, öz-farkındalığı artırdığı ve iletişim becerilerini geliştirdiği görülmüştür. Alihan, tiyatro süreci sayesinde kendi potansiyelini, eğitimci olarak rolünü ve sorumluluklarını daha derinlemesine anlama olanağı bulmuştur. Başlangıçta belirsiz olan kariyer hedefleri ve vizyonu, bu süreç sonunda netleşmiştir. Oyun sırasında çocuklarda gözlemlediği eksiklikler, onda bir değişim ve sorumluluk alma ihtiyacı yaratmıştır.

Abstract
Education enables the individual to adapt to the world in a more organized and systematic way. The transmitters of this harmony are undoubtedly teachers. That is why teachers, who are the carriers of education and training, need to be equipped. In this context, various methods and techniques should be used to determine standards in teacher education, to increase the quality and efficiency of teacher training institutions, and to train teachers who will ensure social development and change. One of these methods is children's theater, which enables the teacher to enter the world of the child. This study aims to collect information about the place of children's theater in teacher education. This study reveals the importance of examining the relationship between teacher education and theater in depth. In this context, qualitative research method and narrative research design were used in the study. Purposive sampling criterion sampling was used to determine the participants in the study and the data were subjected to content analysis. At the end of the study, it was seen that taking part in children's theater improved empathy, sensitivity to social problems, increased self-awareness and improved communication skills. Through the theater process, Alihan gained a deeper understanding of his own potential, his role as an educator and his responsibilities. The deficiencies he observed in children during the play created a need for change and taking responsibility. Therefore, in educational institutions and teacher education programs, using children's theater in teacher education should be considered as a tool that supports the personal development of prospective teachers, offers the opportunity to learn about children in depth, and can affect their perspectives on the profession.
