Abstract
Sesli kitaplar, basılı olan kitapların çeşitli dijital teknolojiler aracılığıyla okuyucuya sunulmasıyla elde edilmiş bir tür olup gittikçe popüler hale gelmektedir. Bu araştırma da ortaokul öğrencilerinin sesli kitap dinlemelerinin anlamalarına olan etkisini tespit etmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma, deney ve kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel modelde tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu 51, 6. sınıf öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. 24 öğrenci deney grubunda, 27 öğrenci kontrol grubunda yer almaktadır. Deney grubundaki öğrenciler “Kraliçeyi Kurtarmak” adlı sesli kitabı dinlemiş, kontrol grubundaki öğrenciler ise aynı kitabın basılı halini okumuşlardır. Çalışma grubundaki öğrencilerin yapılan ön test ile daha önce kitabı okumadıkları tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonunda öğrencilerin okudukları veya dinledikleri kitabı anlama düzeylerini tespit etmek amacıyla araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen anlama testi kullanılmıştır. Anlama testine ilişkin sorular, “Kraliçeyi Kurtarmak” adlı kitaptan yararlanılarak oluşturulmuştur. Test, ön uygulama aşamasında daha önce kitabı okuyan 103 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Daha sonra testteki maddelerin analizleri incelenmiş ve testte yer alan 23 sorudan 3’ü madde ayırt edicilik indeksleri göz önünde bulundurularak testten çıkarılmıştır. Geriye kalan 20 soruluk test, ön test ve son test olarak deney ve kontrol gruplarına uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizi SPSS 26 programı aracılığıyla gerçekleştirilmiş olup Kolmogorov-Smirnov ve Bağımsız Gruplar T testi sonuçlarından yararlanılmıştır. Bağımsız gruplar T testi analiz sonuçlarına göre deney ve kontrol gruplarının anlama düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir farklılığa ulaşılamamıştır.

Abstract
Audiobooks are a type of books presented to readers through various digital technologies and have become increasingly popular. This research was conducted to determine the impact of audiobook listening on middle school students' comprehension. The study was designed using an experimental model with a control group. The study group consisted of 51, 6th-grade students, with 24 students in the experimental group and 27 students in the control group. The students in the experimental group listened to the audiobook "Saving the Queen," while the students in the control group read the printed version of the same book. Through a pre-test, it was determined that the students in the study group had not previously read the book. At the end of the study, an comprehension test developed by the researchers was used to assess students' comprehension level of the book they read or listened to. The comprehension test questions were created based on the book "Saving the Queen." During the pilot phase, the test was administered to 103 students who had previously read the book. Subsequently, item analysis of the test items was conducted, and 3 questions were removed from the test considering item discrimination indexes. The remaining 20-question test was administered to the experimental and control groups as pre-test and post-test. The data analysis was performed using SPSS 26, and Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Independent Samples T-test results were utilized. According to the analysis results of the Independent Samples T-test, no significant difference was found between the comprehension levels of the experimental and control groups.
